a string of events night

the happiest birthday boy.
the blueher family, abi, franny and tom, prepared a feast to please the cynical masses. ham with sweet pineapple, risotto and parmesan cheese, butter rolls and the salad! we filled our plates, sat around and generally brought up topics most likely to embarrass william. less insipid conversations occurred but honestly i can't remember anything beyond jay's impression of a certain steve urkel catch phrase. i'm not joking when i write he creeped me the fuck out.
then everyone went to a house party. ben b's house party. and why exactly did i wake from my midnight nap for it?

no pictures = waste of time. additionally, a hipster ding dong was taking party pics with a highly desirable camera. talk about yaaaaawwwwwnnnn! party pics are only valid when taken with a shitty camera and shitty operator. vrai?
marble brewery.
by the time bill had finished missing the bucket - approximately seventeen minutes later - everyone had thrown their cigarette-filled beer soaked paper cups at his back.
then back to jessica's.a night of drama.

the magical two lost hours

I'm putting this film on the top of my netflix queue.
200 Cigarettes, the 1999 risa garcia classic. a late nineties ensemble comedy (?) featuring christina ricci, casey affleck, janeane garofalo and and and and and (!) PAUL RUDD.
ernest hardy from film.com calls 200 Cigarettes, 'a movie at odds with itself'. david keyes from cinamaphile writes that 'this is the movie that knows its a party flick, but doesn't care'. and with the most succinct review, david elliott from the san diego union-tribune calls this movie 'barely functional'. but wait. i never see a movie until i know duane dudek from milwaukee journal sentinel has reviewed it.

he found it to be 'as funny as a dark spot on your chest X- ray!' punctuation all his.
foreshadowing?
courtney love?
no matter. i'm still seeing it.

billy's birthday! yes yes yes!

we all woke up at my house not hungover from the alcohol and cigarettes but completely fucked up from the rash decision to eat at denny's the night before. simon kicked us out of the door and we got him to work on time. almost on time. bill, a, fraaaaaan and i ate a slow lunch at the diner. b and i decided to take a stroll over to simon's office for le grand tour.
si was so proud of bill and me that he took us into the most decrepit entrance available to the alibi. STEP AROUND THE PILE OF ALLEY PUKE!
rec room.
awwwwwwww. he has an 'i hate mondays' cup. wait. is that a hulk poster near his desk?! wtf?
these pictures make it look like we spent a reasonable amount of time in the office tour. simey let us spend 55 seconds in there and showed us the door.
