sex, drugs, and electro rock

i should preface this post by warning you to have another tab opened to business related mumbo jumbo, the pics from tuesday night are a little raunch raunch.

so we walked the alleys and stowed the brewsky trash in bushes on the way to burt's. we walked bullet train fast cause 1) marc really didn't want to miss the show and 2) we were still talking about the zombie vampires from i am legend, the dollar movie we saw the night before. did that make sense? talking about zombie vampires = scared of said monsters = walking fast. k, moving on. si and i didn't really care if we got there late since we didn't really know any of the opening bands. as luck would have it, we got there a few minutes before punk bunny, the unsung pleasure band we'd never heard of, started.
punk bunny had a lot of choreographed dancing. hipster-y, ironic (i think), ridiculous, funny choreographed dancing. they sang songs about mustaches, tea bagging, putting the tip in, legs open 24/7, prostitution. everything was pretty hilarious and intense at the same time. luigi is the guy with the mustache and here he is, below, with his pants around his anks.
this is really the only part i found objectionable just cause damn. does that mask not scare you too? he just stood there on the side of the stage frozen motion.
typical shot. the trick was finding a photo without dick.
there's not much more i can add about punk bunny that the pictures didn't already say. the movie projection they had up showed everything from raunchy funny ha ha to scary lusty run run, as in run away before god sees you watching this. and their music was pretty fun in a concert only kind of way. so much energy i almost took off my clothes and joined the band, it was kinda awesome like that.

simey didn't enjoy it as much. i think the pic below tells a better story than i could. i uploaded the largest size i had so if you click on it, you can zoom in on the sheer terror in his eyeballs.
oh yea. and i got 2 shots with jizzmin, one tequila and the other photographic.
then rap came on and they sang with robot voices and played keyboards and keytars.
this beautiful guy was not too pleased to have to do this show, i think. he kept reminding us that his new BETTER band, alaska in winter, was starting their tour pretty soon and he was so over rap. yea, i get it guy. ego overload.
luckily no one farted too much this time. oh yea. i forgot to write about it but last thursday at burt's, it was spring break so all the frat-y poseur hipsters came to dance party and made the whole bar smell like dirty diaper sulfur oxide toxic trash. i'm not joking when i say people went outside to stand in the cigarette smoke cloud just to get away from it all.
also, we kinda had a connection with hari, the guy with sweaty pits. last summer when simon was looking for an apartment on craigslist, he almost became a roommate with hari. the listing advertised for a person who didn't mind two other roommates who were in albuquerque bands and when we visited the house, it was major lax. he lives on the corner near copper where those cops were shot a few years ago. downer. sorry.
anyway, it turns out there was a major after party at hari's house and we would have gone but it was 2am on a wednesday morning. yawwwwnnnn!
the whole night was really entertaining. the only really terrible part were the people who were clearly uncomfortable watching blowup dolls reenact cleaveland steamrollers. like, if you can't stand it, girl with conservative mousey haircut, then go back home and watch friends. booooooo. and can you believe it, rap made everyone dance. it pretty much rocked the whole bar.

it was a little piece of hollywood in albuquerque that night.
