hour of the dead

i dragged marc's ass out of the house on sunday. he was so reluctant to do anything so i promised a special treat for him if he didn't enjoy himself. we ran a couple errands, ate at del taco and then saw the house bunny at the dollar theater. and you know what, i wasn't disappointed by it. cute, individual, thoughtful. i would recommend house bunny over she's all that and juno. BY FAR.
day of the dead parade started around 4 so after the movie we flew down i-25 looking for south valley.
m called it hora de los muertos bc we thought the parade was over. just residual traffic jams. parked the car and started walking down isleta.
does this pic make you feel dirty too? the smiley face with stubble? ugh. barf. although the bright side about it is that it reminded me of that scene in forrest gump where he's running through kansas and gets mud splashed all over his body. a man runs up to him and forrest wipes his face on a yellow shirt which made the SMILEY FACE logo. was that truly necessary screenwriter? i almost dislocated my eyeballs from rolling it so much during that scene. moving on.
turns out we didn't miss the parade. hooooray!!!
a ton of obama floats.
edgar allen poe. can you see?
i totally spotted 10 hackey sac lovers. the kind who dance like capoeira and have white guy dreds. who have at least three bob marley tee shirts or posters. who talk about free trade but smells like taco bell. which is worse? the guy or girl version? i just get the idea that both versions don't wash their pits or crotch aggressively.
m was suprised about the great amount of white people at the festival. and i was like eh. makes sense to me. in my experience, caucasians have uninteresting lives and a sad list of ethnic events to claim their own. st. patty's day? blah.
