Themes: Cannibalism, naivete, the trickster archetype, seduction, contained in the undercurrent of a baby's fable.
The aesthetic: red cloak, hungry gray wolf, sharp teeth and grumbling belly, sweet and frail grandmother, the black and haunting woods, lost eyes (dark), long hair (also dark, usually), hunger vs. starvation, food in place of comfort, warm red tones equated with good.
There are allusions to virginity, prostitution, rebirth, domesticity, and seduction.
Innocence lost.
(I think I was trying to justify buying a new winter coat, hahaha.)

i had that creepy doll that's both little red and g-ma.
Yeah me too!! It took me forever to find an image of it on the internet. Like my search terms "doll who has grandma wolf under her dress" and "inside out cloth doll" were pretty much unfruitful, hahaha!
