mountain of dance party pics

depeche mode melody: daa daa da-da-da-da-da. daa daa da-da-da-da-da. daa daa da-da-da-da-da ... dance party!!!!
remind me to SLATHER - fucking slather - make-up on my face next time.
we watched the vp debates on thursday night. and made up a terrible idea for bingo drinking games using 'joe six pack', 'say it ain't so' and 'mainstreet' terms. mainly, it wasn't as productive as my last debate. everyone was out-joking each other. si opened a bottle of champagne after we all chugged a thousand beers. we were too dizzy to drink more and the 97% of champagne left went flat and sour in simon's apartment while we walked through the alleys to get downtown.
MARC, SKIP THIS PART: i ran into cash. i still kinda like him and he still kinda likes me.
marc's old friend.
you look how i feel about this photo.
there's the honey dancing with s!!!
so basically the only thing i really remember - NOT because of black outs but because it's been a while since this night - is the fact that i totally cut in front of the humongous line outside of burt's tiki lo. vince was standing there kinda goofy and too intense and there i was, an angel of hipster imaginations, stumbling out of atomic before i started flirting with caaaaaasssh. vince waved me down from the front of the line and i got mad mad mad evil eye. and all i had to do was talk to v. was it worth it?

MOVING ON, one week later:
took this pic and thought it looked contrived so we tried again.
and it looked even more posed with an added product plug ding dong. also, that's the face moshe junior gives me when he knows i'm about to go out and come home banging my head on the toilet.
so j, l, m and i met up at simon's house. and it was fucked from the very beginning. let me explain. marc showed jay something from my blog and jay was fairly rude about it. rolling his eyes. shrugging his shoulders. showing a general apathy towards everything on my site. ALL WHILE I WAS THERE IN THE SAME ROOM AS HIM.

look, i don't acknowledge this blog to anyone. to do so makes me feel greasy anyhow. i will talk about it if asked, but only in dark rooms. for marc to talk about it to j in front of me was, i admit, gross and patronizing. i don't need anyone to sell my blog for me! i'm fine with the cult following i've acquired in czech republic and ireland. i don't need a j. and plainly, he doesn't need me (at least my blog). but to act holier than thou to this site is not just mean. it's inaccurate. or wait, maybe i'll give up this blog to watch nine seasons of weeds instead. that'll show me! god, taking a small interest in your friend's life is sooooo totally beneath us, ri?

whatev. it's so uninteresting to hold a grudge. especially after what happened between m and t. and t and me. and m and me. triple yawn.
not only that but j and l corned si into looking at lisa's old apartment EVEN THOUGH he doesn't want to move. her apartment is the one across the street from yale mcdonald's. my completely unbiased opinions below.
we stood in that corner alley and exchanged stories about the who's who of our group doing crack. um. crack? on purpose? interesting but not surprising.
we said hi to a prostitute - marc's got a good eye for them - and then scurried dtown. it was l's first night going to dance party.
i went up to the bar and ordered a gin/tonic and a lemondrop. i ran into cash again and had to keep thinking, 'marc. marc. marc. marc.' it's been a bad couple of weeks for monogamous attitudes.
lisa wasn't feeling dance party. and i could understand. if you're not ready to be black out drunk and dancing to thriller than you should stay away from burt's on thursday.
and that's exactly what they did. m, j and l went over to anodyne. si and i stayed at burt's until 1:15 talking about that one time i "cut numbers in half for his homework" (his words and story - not mine) and then we walked over to meet the others.
anodyne was ok. si and i drank 2 bloody marys and we left.
a while after this night, marc told me that lisssssa and jay were giving weird looks to him because simon and i were holding hands. marc's always very protective of me but hand holding is very low on his watch out list. i'm a lover of hand holding!!! i hold my mom's hand, my best friends' hands, my buddies hands! it makes me feel intimate, affectionate and - especially after this night - less wobbly.
we saw nick what's-his-name walking home too.
so, not to sound insensitive, but jay and l were acting pretty crabby about being downtown. marc told me that lisa just wanted to get home because she was starving but her ride (marc) didn't want to leave si and me alone. so she had to wait. and it was such a pill to be around that blah blah black sheep attitude. but then i realized how ironic the situation was and it made me happy again!!!

earlier that night, j and l were convincing si that he would be better off living in lisa's old apartment. it was cheaper than simon's apartment now, in a "better" location (gold and yale), and has better living room dimensions (no shit). but si argued that he'd rather have a walkable distance from downtown than anything else. soooo, they told him that it was soooo easy to catch a bus during the day and then at night just call someone to get a ride home. they made it seem so radically fun to live further from where you work and play.

then three hours later, both of them were acting like crybabies over being stuck downtown without a ride home as soon as they needed it. ha.
anyhow. the walk home is never about speed.
