i had just cut my bangs that morning. and they looked like shit. i cut them straight across my eyebrows but my face is too chubby for that. so i tried to cut it jagged and just made it really short. i'm still deciding if i like my new bangs. my old bangs were starting to look like j's 90s hair.

ate a cheesy thing at flying star then we walked over to the obama rally. there were cars backed up all the way to garfield. police or whoever set up fences around johnson field. and there were two tremendous lines to get in. we chose one and stood there while volunteers screamed at us to prepare for the metal detectors. they told the people carrying umbrellas, lawn chairs and strollers to leave them on the side of the field. 'don't worry, no one will steal them.' yea right lady are you aware you're in student ghetto area?! half of my furnishings are stolen from the side of a field. anyway, remember how the event was free? some people in line were duped into thinking you needed a ticket to get in. we told them they didn't need a ticket and they straight up didn't listen and got out of line to find the ticket booth. there was none!!

whatever. i took their umbrella anyhow.

j and l's mace were taken from them at the security checkpoint. and the stiffs wouldn't give it back! it put u-no-hoo in a sour mood.

we stood for about three hours while george lopez, democratic congress people and obama spoke to us. i felt pretty pumped to be there. i wanted to believe we all shared similar opinions about energy crisis, the economy, abortion issues. i was in a crowd of friends! bla bla bla. but then i saw a lady holding up a shirt instead of a sign. it took a while for me to see what was on the front. it was a peace sign with 'obama' in silver lettering.

i let it burn into my eyes for a minute but didn't give it a second thought until after the rally.

al, raph, and t all bemoaned the same issue they had with the obama rally. people there were blindly praising obama's speech, rooting for buzzwords like 'middle class' 'change' and booing 'mccain' 'palin', etc. but my problems started with that lady and her green obama peace shirt. the concept got under my skin. obama isn't peace. obama can't even support gay marriages! you can't just assign all your hopes or beliefs onto a political candidate just because you're voting for him! he's a christian! he has religious motives! he's not peace! and it's odd that i didn't see that at the rally sooner. and lady, if you think someone who is making promises to get your vote is peace then please by all means vote away!

anyway. at least i got to dance to stevie wonder at the rally.

so afterwards basically the whole crowd just ran over the fence and pushed the trash cans down and trampled all the campaign volunteers. i think originally the police thought they would control the foot traffic across central but it quickly became chaos. it was like 300 liberal fucks to every 1 cop. and by fucks i mean exhausted sign-carrying goody two shoes.

we passed joes on the walk to my place and there was a line to get in. there was a LINE to get INTO joe's! as in, they were turning people away. like, has that ever happened? i made a joke about joe's and glory holes which made everyone laugh but it doesn't seem funny anymore. si would have appreciated it since there was a glory hole episode in it's always sunny in philadelphia.

alex told us a delightful story about his pube hair texture. drink to forget! DRINK TO FORGET!!!

actually, i saw his pubes that one night we went skinny dipping at tca. i remember it looking normal.

m drove us all home and babbled about alcohol poisoning from under the sheets. i gave him a piece of cheese and bread and passed out in my ugly tan bra and black skirt. woke up at 5 and took the rest of my clothes off and brushed my teeth. i was still wasted and dizzy but brushing my teeth in full fledged hangover mood is painful.
